Essential Fatty Acids, Omega 3, 6 9
Hemp seed oil is considered to be the best nutritional oil for health because its essential fatty acid (EFA) profile is closest to that required by the human body. Essential fatty acids are termed as such because the body cannot manufacture them. Therefore, they must continually be replenished in the diet. EFAs are not stored or used for energy as are other fats. Instead, they are used as raw material: for cell structure and as precursors for the synthesis of many of the body's vital biochemical's including hormones and prostaglandins.
"Hemp seed is the richest source of EFAs (essential fatty acids) in the plant kingdom and contains a relatively low percentage of saturated fats. The EFAs in the oil and seeds promote cellular growth, healthy skin, hair, and eyes, aid in immune response, disease prevention, weight control, and even in cognitive functions. The human brain is 60% fat: therefore the EFAs are critically important to its proper function and good health. EFAs are also the raw material the body needs to produce hormones, the body's communication network for cellular activity. Hemp oil supports the body's detoxification process due to the fact that the LA (linoleic acid) and ALA (Alpha-linolenic Acid) has the ability to carry toxic substances to the surface of the skin, intestinal tract, kidneys, and lungs where they can be eliminated from the body."
EFAs are as vital to human life as vitamins and minerals. Nutritionists refer to these polyunsaturates as "Vitamin k" and commonly recommend EFAs for lowering blood pressure, cholesterol and triglyceride levels. They also play an important role in reducing heart disease and stroke risk. They improve cell growth, organ function, vitality, mental state, and enhance thought processes with the transportation of oxygen, electrons and energy throughout our bodies.
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are key elements of all the cells in the body, including those in the organs, muscles, skin, eyes and brain. So if there is a deficiency, the body cannot function its best. The human body needs EFAs to function properly. Omega fatty acids are essential fatty acids - they are essential to human health but they cannot be manufactured by the body itself a result, omega fatty acids must be obtained from food. Essential fatty acids, or Omega Fatty Acids, can be obtained from various sources - the most common being fish, fish oils, flax, evening primrose oil. Udo's oil, and Hemp Oil, among others.
EFAs absorb sunlight and keep membranes fluid. Their tendency to disperse gives biological systems the power to carry substances such as toxins to the surface of the skin, intestinal track, kidneys, or lungs, where these substances can be discarded.
EFAs are involved in producing life energy in our body from food substances, and moving that energy throughout our systems. They govern growth, vitality, and mental state; they hook up to oxygen, electron transport, and energy in the process of oxidation. The central and the most important moment-to-moment living process in our body, is the "burning" of food to produce the energy required for life processes.
EFAs are involved in the transporting of oxygen to all our cells. EFAs can be linked to oxygen "magnets" that pull oxygen into our body. Linoleic Acid and Linolenic Acid appears to hold oxygen in our cell membranes, where it acts as a barrier to viruses, fungi and bacteria.
EFAs substantially shorten the time required for fatigued muscles to recover after exercise. To facilitate the conversion of lactic acid to water and carbon dioxide. This is especially important for athletes.
Linolenic Acid and its derivatives can lower cholesterol up to 65%. It also produces smooth, velvety skin, increases stamina, speeds healing, increases vitality, and brings a feeling of calmness. It reduces inflammation, water retention, platelet stickiness, and blood pressure. It also inhibits the growth of tumors and enhances some immune functions, reduces the pain and swelling of arthritis, and completely reverses premenstrual syndrome in some cases.
