Penny's Hemp Granola
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups barley flakes
1 cup rye flakes
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup hempnut seeds
1 cup chopped dates
1 1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup hempseed oil
1/3 cup olive oil
Mix together all dry ingredients. Heat honey and oil in saucepan, add to dry ingredients and mix together. Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 300 degree oven for approximately 5 minutes, stirring mixture once during the baking. Remove from oven and place in air tight container while mixture is still warm. Mixture will be soft and chewy and can be used on yoghurt, cereal, ice cream, on apple sauce or as a snack.

You can make you own dips and spreads using the Hempseed oil and combining it with yoghurt and your favorite herbs.

Fruit Smoothie
4 tbsp plain yogurt
½ ripe banana
1 tbsp hemp oil
2 tbsp fresh or frozen berries of choice
1 tsp honey
Place al ingredients in blender; mix until smooth-enjoy!
Hempseed Oil Salad Dressing
4 tbsp hempseed oil
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp oregano
½ tbsp basil
1 clove garlic (minced)
¼ tbsp dill
½ tbsp parsley (fresh or dry)
Salt/pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix on low until blended or use a shaker to blend.
sprinkle hemp seeds over salad and serve.
